RULE OF THUMB:  You need 10" of Spade for every 1" of Tree to have a Safe Move.  This ensures that enough of the trees' root ball is taken for survival.  After care of the tree plays a HUGE role as well!  Trees that have been moved or planted need to follow a strict watering and fertilizing schedule.
